Starting with: Ecclesiastes 5:1-8 → discusses a time for everything
-These events are purposefully executed.
Q: Think about the activities we do, independently, as a campus, etc. What are their purposes?
A: Many independent activities are either to sustain ourselves or for enjoyment. While many campus activities are to unite, reach out, or worship God. Yet all are to glorify God.
Continuing to: 1 Corinthians 12 → discusses the parts of the body
-The parts are also arranged purposefully; talents are allocated purposefully.
Q: How can we use our personal talents to help fulfill the purpose of the events of life? (behaviors, attitudes, etc.)
A (few examples of many possibilities): First it is helpful to think about the purpose of the event. For example, devotional serves a few purposes: to worship God, unite us, reach out to the lost. So if you have the talent of encouragement, it can be used to unite people as well as reach out to visitors. Or if your talent is leadership, it can be used to direct everyone’s thoughts during the worship. A second example, the purpose of a campus hangout/ activity is to unite us or reach out to people. Here encouragement again can be used to unite people and connect with them.
With love to my bothers and sisters,
